Master Drawings to Explore Heads and Faces

Pablo Picasso HEAD OF A YOUNG MAN Black Crayon

What is a Master Drawing?  Here are some Master Drawings -- from long ago and far away.  There is also one drawn by a contemporatry artist, Arthur Gonzalez.  It IS OK and actually GOOD to use a Master Drawing to draw from!  You can learn a lot.  Think about it -- when you learn to sing --  do you write all your own music from the start???  These are all portraits and they will teach you much about drawing heads and faces.  Take a lesson from a Master Artist -- practice and enjoy!
